Cross Country Flying Contest: Base Set Up

BASE

Any flying field will work where one or more winches can be set up. It's best if the field is part of the course or located alongside it. Ideally, there is space to set up a sheltered registration station and general base of operations. At this station, contestants register and pick up and submit their paper work and course maps. The airspace around the base should be open enough to accommodate several large gliders searching for lift and loitering in preparation for going on course.
